About the position

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you play a vital role in delivering patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. You will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading the pharmacy team, managing patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing pharmacy operations, motivating staff, and implementing patient care programs to enhance health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations including patient safety, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient care programs are effectively implemented.
• Motivate and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments and addressing development opportunities.
• Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
• Adapt to changes in the healthcare environment and adjust plans accordingly.
• Foster a team culture that promotes enthusiasm and pride in delivering care.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
• No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
