About the position

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will play a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting the management of pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing pharmacy staff, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be instrumental in implementing patient care programs and fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration within your team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
  • Accountable for the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy.
  • Ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality assurance and customer service standards.
  • Manage personnel, inventory, and financial profitability.
  • Implement patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
  • Motivate and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments to maximize strengths and address development opportunities.
  • Identify business opportunities and contribute to meaningful solutions for growth and performance improvement.
  • Adapt to changes in a dynamic community healthcare setting and lead the team to achieve specified goals.
  • Foster a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state of employment.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
