About the position

This position is responsible for administering nursing care to patients and coordinating their care in collaboration with the healthcare team. The RN will instruct patients and families on procedures, healthcare practices, and continuing care after discharge. The role requires adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures, and the RN may be assigned additional responsibilities as needed. The RN is qualified to perform nursing interventions such as the administration of moderate sedation and will monitor the patient's response, providing necessary physiological support during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Initial education on moderate sedation will be provided upon hire, along with annual competency assessments.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Ability to administer moderate sedation

  • Knowledge of safety principles, OSHA guidelines, and infection control guidelines

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cardiology procedures
