About the position
As a Staff IT Engineer at Tally, you will play a crucial role in supporting the internal tools and services that empower Tally employees to be efficient and productive. You will be responsible for onboarding/offboarding, providing helpdesk support, coaching new IT team members, and planning for the future. With the opportunity to lead initiatives and influence team goals, you will have the autonomy to deliver solutions that elevate internal IT services. While this role requires you to be in the San Francisco office at least two days a week, your expertise in IT infrastructure, communication skills, and passion for continuous improvement will be key in driving Tally's mission to alleviate financial stress for individuals.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- Direct hands-on experience building and supporting IT infrastructure in a hybrid distributed work environment
- Broad depth of experience in IT tools, including MDM, endpoint management, VPNs, and familiarity with networking concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for learning and continuous improvement
- Creativity and resourcefulness in implementing simple and scalable IT solutions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize project and support-driven work
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and support for Tally employees
- Familiarity with tech tools such as Fleet management and endpoint security tools, Okta, Google Workspace, Rippling, Atlassian Cloud, Slack, 1 Password, Zoom, Cloud Connexa, Amazon Web Services IAM, Zapier, Jira Workflow Automation, SAML, and Login Integration
