About the position
Ninyo & Moore is seeking a Staff or Senior Staff-Level Environmental Professional to join their team in California. The role involves conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and other site investigations, requiring a solid foundation in environmental science and related fields. The successful candidate will engage in both field and office tasks, ensuring effective project management and communication with subcontractors and clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Perform site reconnaissance, soil and groundwater sampling, and borehole logging.
- Install wells and monitor air quality.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors during site investigations.
- Prepare daily field reports and assist with report preparation.
- Compile and review historical information and environmental databases.
- Manage tasks and task budgets effectively.
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and site owners/users via phone and email.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER training certification.
- Experience with field tasks related to environmental investigations.
- Solid writing skills and effective communication abilities.
- Familiarity with ASTM E1527-21 and ASTM E-1903-11 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Nice-to-haves
- Other certifications and registrations in environmental fields.
- Experience on construction sites.
- Prior work history with a consulting firm.
