About the position

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities of Boostlingo, prepare financial reports and summaries, and perform special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close duties, including preparing journal entries and supporting calculations, maintenance of subledgers, completion of account reconciliations, account analyses with fluctuation explanations, and preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Process and/or assist in preparation of order-to-cash transactions for certain Boostlingo products.
  • Maintain expense reporting system and related processes.
  • Manage credit card account program, including the review and recording of monthly activity.
  • Assist in year-end audit procedures with 3rd party firm.
  • Assist the Controller, Senior Accountant and 3rd party tax team in the maintenance, preparation, and review of state, local, federal, and sales/use tax reports and related compliance.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining of necessary systems and internal controls.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years post-educational financial accounting experience or Educational background in Finance and Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Superb attention to detail and an analytical mind.
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
  • Experience working day-to-day in a well-known ERP; NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Self-starter, strong work ethic, and requiring little supervision.
  • Highly collaborative and easy to work with.
  • A positive attitude and exceptional reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
