About the position
City Wide is seeking an experienced accounting professional with excellent communication skills to join our team! The Franchise Accountant will be responsible for full-charge billable accounting services for several distinct City Wide franchise entities located across the US and Canada. This position supports the franchisees with all accounting and finance processes within the City Wide Client Management System, leveraging a robust technology platform that includes Microsoft Business Central/ERP, Solver corporate performance management (reporting and planning platform), and Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Customer billing - contract and non-contract
- Vendor disbursements
- Contract management
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable management
- Cash management/banking/reconciliations
- Credit card charges and payments
- Payroll support and review
- Sales and use tax reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly financial statement close process
- Internal control adherence/enhancement
- Financial reporting (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Financial forecasting/budgeting (three statements)
- Support of third parties and related audits (accounting/CPA, insurance providers)
- Ad hoc accounting projects, financial reporting and analysis
- Liaison with franchisee ownership/key personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in full-charge accounting experience
- Systems/data oriented – Command of accounting systems and data management; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central desirable
- Client-service oriented - Ability to provide responsive service to franchisee clients while following company procedures
- Excellent communication skills
