About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization. The Staff Accountant will support the accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, inventory accounting, cost accounting support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and production teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Understanding of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and production workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Support inventory accounting, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of inventory accounts
  • Assist with cost accounting functions including labor, overhead allocation, and product costing analysis
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and provide explanations to management
  • Prepare financial reports and schedules for internal management review
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Support internal audits and compliance reporting
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with operations and production departments to improve financial accuracy and reporting efficiency
  • Participate in ERP system maintenance, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
