Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and two (2) years accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of business mathematics
  • Ability to compose effective and efficient accounting reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software package

Responsibilities

  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and book journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Reconciles and balances general ledger accounts.
  • Performs account research and analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes.
  • Participates in monthly/quarterly/annual closing cycles and financial statement preparation.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 control procedures, and company procedures.
  • This position has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.
