About The Position
SkyHop Global is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team, with a primary focus on accounts payable. This role will be heavily involved in day-to-day transactional accounting, supporting the monthly close process, and gaining exposure to broader accounting functions over time. This is an onsite job near to the Fort Lauderdale Airport. QuickBooks experience is required for this role. Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and the ability to reconcile data sets) are highly preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Manage and process high-volume accounts payable transactions
- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely in QuickBooks
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Support accounts receivable processes as needed
- Assist with customer invoicing and application of customer payments
- Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
- Communicate with internal teams (Fleet, Operations, Legal) to ensure accurate expense tracking
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
