Requirements

Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Work with detailed information while identifying underlying issues and improvement opportunities
Able to work independently and with others to contribute to team goals
Confidence to ask questions and get clarification, display a positive attitude, and have a strong work ethic
Must maintain high ethical standards and meet confidentiality requirements to ensure the security and privacy of financial data
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
1-3 years accounting experience

Nice To Haves

Sales & use tax experience preferred
Knowledge of Avalara tax compliance software preferred
SAP background preferred

Responsibilities

Scrutinize accounting records, financial statements, and reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
Review transactional activity, ensuring accurate coding and maintaining financial reporting integrity
Prepare documentation for annual external audits
Prepare precise general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our financial data
Navigate complex workflows to ensure accurate General Ledger entries
Assist with month-end close processes by reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts
Conduct meticulous sales and use tax analysis, ensuring timely compliance through our tax software
Manage annual property tax filings efficiently
Contribute to other initiatives beneficial to IDI
