About The Position

Wold Architects and Engineers is a dynamic, growth-oriented architectural and engineering firm headquartered in downtown Minneapolis. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of the finance team, this accounting role will support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgeting processes, and overall financial strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible accounting experience (relevant coursework may substitute for up to one year of experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new technology platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
  • Participate in the month-end close process
  • Review designated general ledger accounts and associated activity
  • Participate in the Accounts Payable and Account Receivable processes
  • Process and send monthly invoices to clients
  • Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies promptly and effectively
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects and analysis
  • Allocate expenditures to appropriate accounts per company procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
