About The Position

Looking for a Staff Accountant role where your work actually moves the needle? Join the corporate accounting team at Taylor Hospitality and Up to Par Management — a fast-growing portfolio of hotels, resorts, private clubs, and hospitality venues — at one of the most exciting moments in our company's history. We are forecasting 2026–2028 to be the strongest growth years in our history, and we are building the accounting team that will power it. If you want hands-on exposure to multi-property hotel and hospitality accounting, mentorship from seasoned finance leaders, and a clear runway into Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Controller roles — this is your seat.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and the full month-end close cycle.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can explain a variance to a non-accountant.
  • Sharp attention to detail; comfortable juggling multiple property entities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel accounting, resort accounting, club accounting, or restaurant / F&B accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospitality accounting platforms — M3 Accounting Core, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Aptech ProfitSage, or similar — is a plus.
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or actively pursuing CPA licensure is a plus (we'll support you).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements — balance sheet, P&L, and membership financials — across our hotel, hospitality, and club portfolio.
  • Lead monthly financial review meetings with property-level clients: explain variances, tell the story behind the numbers, and recommend solutions.
  • Record and post journal entries from invoices, cash receipts, supplier invoices, and bank activity into the general ledger.
  • Perform month-end close: account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, intercompany entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) and operating expenses against prior year and budget; surface variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, document, and train scalable accounting processes that grow with our portfolio.
  • Partner with operations, F&B, rooms, and club department heads to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support audit preparation, year-end close, and ad-hoc finance projects.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid vacation, personal, and sick time
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • CPA exam support and continuing professional education (CPE) reimbursement
  • Hotel, resort, golf, and food & beverage perks across our managed properties
  • Clear career path to Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and Controller
