About the position
The SRE Monitoring Configuration Consultant at Derex Technologies Inc is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining comprehensive monitoring solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role emphasizes establishing robust observability to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency of infrastructure, applications, and hardware components.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Configure and maintain monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Establish observability across infrastructure, applications, and hardware components.
- Ensure high availability and performance of systems through effective monitoring.
- Utilize log analytics tools for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in SRE and monitoring configuration.
- Expertise in Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.
- Proficient in using Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios for monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
- Solid understanding of log management and analytics.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring best practices.
