About the position

The Sr. VoIP/Telecommunications Technician at Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC is responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, programming, maintaining, and repairing various telecommunications equipment. This role supports the IT Division within the NSWC Corona Division, focusing on ensuring the functionality of digital switching equipment and related systems. The technician will analyze system failures, maintain records, and ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, program, maintain, and repair digital switching equipment and attendant consoles.
• Analyze system failures and unusual occurrences to isolate problems and determine causes.
• Maintain manual and computerized central office records, including detail records and traffic analysis records.
• Manage cable records, line records, subscriber service records, and spare parts inventories.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with more than five years of relevant Cisco VoIP technical support and three years of experience on VoIP telephone system operations, including infrastructure (wiring).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with two years of relevant Cisco VoIP technical support and one year of experience on VoIP telephone system operations, including infrastructure (wiring).
• Master's degree in a relevant field with relevant experience as specified.
• Must possess one or more of the following IT certifications: BICSI Installer 1 (INST1), BICSI Installer 2, Copper (INSTC), BICSI Installer 2, Optical Fiber (INSTF), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise, Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Networking.
• Adhere to 8570.01M CWF Requirements - IAT Level II.
