Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates trial advocacy skills independently as lead counsel or as part of a team.
  • Maintains a highly productive case volume reflecting commitment to innovative thinking and effective collaboration.
  • Utilizes technology and collaborates with support staff for efficient case management.
  • Stays updated on changes to law, technology, and procedural requirements impacting litigation strategies.
  • Provides sound opinions on case valuations and communicates them promptly to clients and claims.
  • Establishes and maintains strong professional relationships with key associates and claims partners.
  • Communicates effectively to meet client and internal communication expectations.
  • Mentors junior attorneys and staff, providing guidance and training.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in the state where the position is located.
  • More than eight years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
  • Significant litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to process information efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical and legal skills.
