About The Position

MAG Aerospace is hiring for a Test and Evaluation Specialist position which will provide technical support to the Navy Cyber Warfare Developmental Group (NCWDG). Seeking a proficient test engineer to develop and execute quality-check protocols for our products. The role involves analyzing product features, establishing test parameters, devising tailored quality checks, and documenting the final test processes for our quality technicians. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical analysis, assessment, and recommendations throughout the T&E lifecycle to ensure a comprehensive and successful test program that verifies system performance and validates mission effectiveness. MUST BE A US CITIZEN. Requires a current Top Secret security clearance. A CI Polygraph will be required within 6 months.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ (ten) years of specific test and evaluation experience to include strategy and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)
  • Experience in testing tactical datalinks, satellite communications (SATCOM)
  • Experience/understanding of RF Sensors
  • Experience in Test and Evaluation of military ship/aircraft radars and electronic warfare (EW) systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical discipline
  • DAU level 1 Test and Evaluation OR DAU level 1 SPRDE, OR DAU level 1 Engineering (equivalent / alternative qualifications equal to the DAU requirement might be taken into consideration on a case by case basis)

  • Possess eligibility for access to be upgraded to a TS/SCI in the NEAR future upon hire - (ALL HIRES WILL MAINTAIN AN SCI - MAG Will Upgrade your TS to TS/SCI - IF YOU POSSES THE BACKGROUND TO BE UPGRADED)
  • Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination in the future
  • Possess an investigation that is current within 6 years.
  • Personnel who are enrolled in CE will also be eligible

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide technical assessments of the prime contractor’s top-level T&E strategy documents, including Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), ensuring alignment with program requirements and operational objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of all detailed test plans for Developmental Tests (DT), Operational Tests (OT), and regression testing. The review shall assess the adequacy of test methodologies, resource planning, and the suitability of the proposed test environments to evaluate key performance parameters.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on test procedures, ensuring that the step-by-step instructions are clear, safe, and capable of collecting the necessary data to verify system-level requirements.
  • Evaluate the traceability between system requirements and the verification methods and test cases defined in the prime contractor’s test documentation.
  • Support the government in assessing the program’s readiness for test events and provide technical expertise with testing.
  • Support the government-led Test Readiness Review (TRRs) by reviewing entrance and exit criteria, assessing the status of test resources, and providing an independent risk assessment of the program’s readiness to proceed with testing.
  • During test execution, the contractor shall observe test conduct, document any anomalies or deviations from the plan, and provide real-time consultation to the N4 Lead Engineer and Test Director.
  • Produce “quick-look” reports for the government immediately following significant test events, summarizing observations and preliminary results.
  • Conduct independent analysis of test data to provide the government with an unbiased assessment of the system’s performance.
  • Independently review and analyze test data and format test reports delivered by the prime contractor. This includes processing raw data to verify the prime’s conclusions.
  • Prepare independent analysis reports for the government that clearly articulate whether the system requirements were met, identify performance shortfalls, and provide supporting evidence from the test data.
  • Identify and report any limitations in the test environment or methodology that may impact the validity or interpretation of test results.
  • Support the government in tracking and assessing the resolution of all identified system deficiencies.
  • Monitor the prime contractor’s deficiency reporting and corrective action system, ensuring that all test failures and anomalies are properly documented.
  • Provide a technical assessment of the prime contractor’s root cause analyses and proposed corrective actions plans for test deficiencies, providing recommendations to the government on their adequacy.
  • Track the status of all open deficiencies and provide the government with a consolidated report on progress toward resolution.
