About the position

CGI Federal is currently looking for a Sr. Technology Strategist with an active Top-Secret clearance to support a large project for a federal government client. The Administrative Applications Unit (AAU) provides software application development and support services to the enterprise for administrative functions. AAU develops, maintains, and supports a portfolio of custom-built and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products for customers. This position will be based in Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities and challenges.
  • Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead technology innovation initiatives and pilot projects.
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure technology solutions are scalable and sustainable.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of technology initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership on technology trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant technology standards and regulations.
  • Support the development of technology policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technology management or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing technology budgets and resources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with technology risk management and mitigation.
  • Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and maintain technology roadmaps.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Experience with technology innovation and pilot projects.
