About the position

The Sr Technical Product Manager (Enterprise Channel Syndication) at Xumo is responsible for managing the onboarding and support workflow for platform partners, ensuring the integration of content feed and EPG metadata aligns with business goals. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the customer experience and drive the success of streaming services. The position demands strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of modern streaming technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the Xumo Enterprise distribution platform business unit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that improve platform customers' viewing experience.
  • Generate product strategy and execution for streaming services from content feed to monetization.
  • Partner with engineering teams to create and maintain the Enterprise onboarding roadmap.
  • Communicate with external Platform Partners on integration progress.
  • Supervise budget and costs associated with video and infrastructure integrations.
  • Provide video, content, and ad operation support, including replication and deployment of existing architecture.
  • Coordinate business as usual support with internal groups to minimize impact on platform partners.
  • Take ownership of the platform onboarding process, ensuring quality standards are met and delivered on time.
  • Use data and analytics to inform onboarding and support decisions, improving video playback experience.
  • Stay updated with technology developments to leverage new opportunities in video and EPG metadata delivery.
  • Communicate integration updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or related technology certification.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in planning, developing, and delivering video and EPG metadata integrations.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience with OTT video streaming technologies (HLS/DASH/DRM) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills to lead meetings and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong analytical mind and problem-solving capabilities with experience in launching/scaling products.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in agile development/project methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Television/Broadcast/FAST, Media, Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with video ad insertion technologies in TV or streaming media solutions.
  • Familiarity with AWS Media Services and related infrastructure.
  • Experience with content metadata solutions such as Gracenote TMS.
  • Experience with Content Management and/or Asset Management Systems.
  • Proficiency with relational databases and performing SQL queries.
  • Proficiency with Jira or similar product management tools.
