About the position

The QC Laboratory Informatics Role at Lilly is focused on ensuring the quality control laboratory maintains optimal performance through effective monitoring and management of laboratory IT systems. This position involves initial setup and configuration of laboratory systems, followed by ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts to uphold data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards. The role also includes mentoring peers, supporting audits, and contributing to the development of local procedures and training materials.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor laboratory performance to ensure control over analytical data generation and reporting.
  • Interact with global and local IT support to populate master data and configure systems.
  • Assist with the installation and qualification of laboratory IT systems such as LIMS/LES, MODA, WinKQCL, ELN, and CDS.
  • Oversee the execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Laboratory IT Systems for the QC lab.
  • Ensure data integrity by design within the QC laboratory.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of validated software systems in the lab.
  • Collect data and author management review documents for the laboratory quality system.
  • Support continuous improvement of quality systems related to the QC lab.
  • Develop training materials for laboratory informatics systems.
  • Assist in audit and inspection activities for the laboratory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in GMP QC Laboratory IT Systems, including installation and qualification of systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and proficiency in analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and laboratory IT systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous LEAN experience and ability to drive continuous improvement.
