About the position

The Senior Specialist - Third Party Cyber Risk at Ally Financial is responsible for overseeing and managing compliance and IT risks associated with third-party relationships. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure proper governance, risk assessment, and monitoring of third-party suppliers, ultimately contributing to the organization's risk management framework.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Inherent Product and Service Risk Assessment for completeness and accuracy.
• Oversee the Supplier Performance Evaluation process and ensure timely evaluations with Relationship Owners.
• Assist with monitoring and analysis of external supplier security performance using dedicated monitoring tools.
• Create and maintain metrics for reporting and dashboards.
• Identify emerging risks or trends across the reported supplier base.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Third Party Compliance and Risk or related experience.
• 2+ years of Information Security, Compliance, Risk, or Audit experience.
• 1+ year of general Information Technology experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for creating organized reports and presentations.
• Ability to take ownership of initiatives and drive them to completion.
• Experience in the finance or banking industry is a plus.
