About the position

The Sr Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of complex, distributed systems. This role requires extensive experience in network performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization, as well as proficiency in various monitoring tools. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and proactively improve network reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize network performance across distributed systems.
• Utilize Dynatrace and BigPanda for real-time monitoring and incident response.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network performance and latency issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in network reliability.
• Automate network and system configurations using Ansible Tower.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in network performance tuning and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace and BigPanda.
• Strong background in troubleshooting network performance issues.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Thousand Eyes and Grafana.
• Skilled in automation using Ansible Tower.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in incident/problem management tools.
• Understanding of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with web hosting technologies like Apache/Tomcat.
• Knowledge of Big Data and cloud concepts.
• Understanding of database technologies like ORACLE and SQL.
