CGI Federal is currently seeking Scrum Masters with active TS/SCI clearances to support a large project for a federal government client. This position will be based in Washington, DC area.
Responsibilities
Facilitate and guide all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Coach and mentor the development team on Agile practices and Scrum principles.
Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and prioritizing user stories.
Identify and eliminate impediments that hinder the team's progress.
Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
Cultivate a collaborative and transparent work environment within the team.
Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
Continuously enhance the team's Agile practices through retrospectives and process optimization.
Coordinate development and integration testing across multiple teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, QA) to ensure seamless project delivery.
Monitor team progress, metrics, and velocity.
Stay informed about the latest Agile trends and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Scrum Master.
Experience in a Scrum Master or Agile project management role.
Strong understanding of Scrum principles, roles, artifacts, and ceremonies.
Demonstrated experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with team members at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves
Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Certified Scrum Master.
Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.).
