About the position

CGI Federal is currently seeking Scrum Masters with active TS/SCI clearances to support a large project for a federal government client. This position will be based in Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and guide all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum meetings, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor the development team on Agile practices and Scrum principles.
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and prioritizing user stories.
  • Identify and eliminate impediments that hinder the team's progress.
  • Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and transparent work environment within the team.
  • Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Continuously enhance the team's Agile practices through retrospectives and process optimization.
  • Coordinate development and integration testing across multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., design, QA) to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor team progress, metrics, and velocity.
  • Stay informed about the latest Agile trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience in a Scrum Master or Agile project management role.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum principles, roles, artifacts, and ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with team members at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Certified Scrum Master.
  • Experience with Atlassian Software products (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk, etc.).
