About the position

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer will work within the Production Engineering team of the US Money Movement organization at ADP. This role involves collaborating with clients, product managers, architects, and software engineers to design, develop, debug, test, and implement solutions that support a diverse range of clients. The developer will be responsible for analyzing and resolving user stories and service tickets, participating in release activities, and mentoring junior developers while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, test, and debug software solutions for user stories and service desk tickets.
• Participate in daily standup calls to prioritize and track work.
• Lead and guide developments within the team, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and help them grow their skills.
• Review team members' work to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Engage with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Manage production issues and small enhancements effectively.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development, particularly in S4 Hana.
• Expertise in Gateway Services, OData, CDS views, and AMDP.
• Strong understanding of web services, RESTful APIs, and SAP Fiori.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming and full lifecycle ABAP custom development including BAPI/BADI/Enhancement Framework, Workflows, and Dialog programming.
• Ability to resolve complex technical issues and manage critical situations independently.
• Fair knowledge of key Finance processes such as GL and Cash Management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with client-facing roles and strong communication skills.
