About the position

Our Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the integration, test, and verification of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The Radar Systems Engineer will apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to develop revolutionary system solutions, support integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution. This position requires a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to develop revolutionary system solutions
  • Support integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution
  • Conduct system verification and support certification activities
  • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant technical matters
  • Work in hands-on laboratory or field environments
  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout and integration testing

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent combined with minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems and components
  • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars
  • Experience in the integration and test of Solid State Radar systems
  • High proficiency in MATLAB, C++ or Python
  • Ability to perform data analysis
  • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent
  • Radar systems development experience including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation
  • Hands-on experience with RF systems or antenna testing including near-field and far-field measurement techniques
  • Experience in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) concepts and design implementation
  • Technical leadership experience with program execution
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with automated build and system development
  • Experience with managing pipelines across classification boundaries
  • Ability to deploy new technologies, educate others on their use and integrate them into workflows
