About the position
The Sr Project Manager - Engineering will be a key member of the Indianapolis team, responsible for managing engineering projects throughout their full lifecycle. This includes developing project scopes, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring client satisfaction. The role involves collaboration with internal and external partners, overseeing multi-disciplinary project teams, and leading business development efforts for large-scale projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop project scope and fee quotations, and assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts.
- Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion.
- Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
- Implement the firm's project delivery plan and lead the development and execution of the project management plan.
- Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff.
- Partner with Client Service Leaders to assist with business development and client relationship building.
- Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 12 years of relevant experience
- 4 years of successful management of engineering projects
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Engineering
- 15 years relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
