About the position
North America Sort Centers (NASC) are experiencing growth and looking for a skilled, highly motivated Sr. Program Manager to join the NASC Engineering Product Team. The Sort Center network is the critical Middle-Mile solution in the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) group, linking Fulfillment Centers to the Last Mile. The experience of our customers is dependent on our ability to efficiently execute volume flow through the middle-mile network. The person in this role will manage medium to large-scale projects that are innovative or complex and at the same time delivered as quickly, accurately, and as cost effectively as possible.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs.
- Scope project plans, develop processes, coordinate and drive execution, and communicate to leadership on status, risks, and process/product changes.
- Work with teams across Amazon to identify opportunities and provide data driven decision support to improve capacity and material flow optimization tools, material flow performance, simulation, and emulation of existing site performance.
- Build strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities.
- Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
- Lead project teams to plan, organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
- Own the design and development of ongoing metrics, key performance indicators, reports, dashboards to drive key business decisions.
- Provide analytical network support to improve quality and standard work results.
- Deep dive process breakdowns and provide recommendations to sustainably resolve issues.
- Collaborate with BI/Data Engineer teams to develop new and existing data sources to continually improve data quality.
- Foster continuous improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
