About the position

As the Senior Product Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management and development of our workforce excellence portfolio. This portfolio provides customers with solutions to the changes and challenges that the industrial organizations experience, as the pace of digital transformation accelerates to prepare every worker to be part of this transition, aid them to acquire new competencies and skills to build resilience, boost productivity, and provide attractive careers for the next generation. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong blend of leadership, strategic vision, and operational expertise to drive growth, profitability, and innovation across this product line.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive assessments, and customer segmentation to identify portfolio gaps, opportunities, and trends.
  • Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation through to end-of-life decisions, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and finance to define product roadmaps and ensure timely execution of portfolio initiatives.
  • Drive product innovation, differentiation, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product portfolio, including revenue growth, profitability, market share, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budget management to optimize portfolio performance and resource allocation.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market trends.
  • Present portfolio strategies, business cases, and performance updates to key stakeholders, including board of directors and investors.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive portfolio success.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and portfolio analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the product portfolio management team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of expertise in managing a portfolio of products, projects, and investments.
  • 5+ years' experience in the process industries.
  • Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of today's and tomorrow's industrial organizations' workforce challenges and solutions available and needed in the marketplace.
  • Knowledge of the industrial organization worker field through assignments/experience in field service, site operations, industrial training or similar.
  • Experience in a global organization.
  • Experience in market research and analysis.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
