About The Position

As Baselayer’s Sr. Product Designer, you’ll help shape the design systems that power our fintech platform. Working closely with our Lead Designer, you’ll gain hands-on experience across system design, product development, and cross-functional collaboration - building the foundations that ensure consistency, usability, and scalability as we grow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or digital product design (internship, freelance, or entry-level roles welcome)
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma (Auto Layout, variants, components, tokens)
  • Detail-oriented and organized - you maintain consistency across files, states, and use cases
  • Comfortable taking direction, iterating quickly, and incorporating feedback
  • A proactive communicator who collaborates well with product, design, and engineering
  • Interest in learning design systems and scaling visual languages

Responsibilities

  • Own product design end-to-end — from understanding the problem through research and stakeholder input, to shipping polished UI
  • Design screens, flows, and interactions for Baselayer's platform using our established design system and component library
  • Translate complex KYB, risk, and compliance workflows into clear, usable interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, consistent, and ready for handoff
  • Use AI tools alongside Figma to move faster on explorations, prototypes, and design-to-code workflows
  • Identify and flag UX inconsistencies across the product; contribute improvements to our design system
  • Participate in user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
