Requirements

Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
20+ years of industrial or research experience in electrophoretic displays, electro-optic systems, or related device physics.
Proven track record of innovation through patents, publications, or commercial product development.
Experience analyzing complex systems using advanced mathematical methods for solving practical problems
Experience with soft materials such as polymers and colloids; familiarity with their electrical properties is a plus
Proficiency with electronic devices and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators
Expertise in one or more of the following or related areas: optimization methods, hardware and electronics, machine learning tools, computational physics, and signals and systems

Responsibilities

Lead R&D programs in electrophoretic display physics, including particle dynamics, charge control, and field-driven optical response.
Develop and optimize driving schemes to enhance image quality, speed, and other properties.
Investigate electrostatic, fluidic, and optical interactions in multi-particle and multi-layer systems.
Expand fundamental understanding of electrophoretic display systems, focusing on the interplay of driving schemes and materials
Build physical and computational models to simulate electrophoretic motion, electrohydrodynamic effects, and particle–electrode interactions.
Apply electrical, optical, and imaging tools to characterize device behavior (e.g., impedance spectroscopy, transient response, particle tracking).
Use statistical and physics-based analysis to correlate materials properties with display performance.
Identify breakthrough opportunities in display physics, electro-optical design, and materials integration.
Generate patents and technical publications that strengthen company IP position.
Mentor and guide scientists, engineers, and technicians in multidisciplinary project teams.
