About the position
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are currently seeking a Sr. Admissions Representative who will be responsible for facilitating an efficient, professional, and effective registration process through the attainment of demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration. This role is crucial for ensuring appropriate reimbursement and statistical analysis, maintaining complete and accurate accounts, and supporting a culture of service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate an efficient and professional registration process.
- Obtain demographic and financial information for appropriate reimbursement.
- Maintain complete and accurate accounts to ensure database integrity.
- Support timely claims processing.
- Provide excellent service to all customer groups.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- 2-5 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance).
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance).
- Computer/keyboard skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
