About the position

The Senior Manager, Supply Planning at Exact Sciences is responsible for leading a team that coordinates the flow of work and materials to meet sales forecasts and actual sales. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, production processes, and ensuring product availability across supported products. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure planning systems accurately reflect supply and demand changes, ultimately supporting the company's goals in cancer prevention and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all planning operations related to products and sites assigned.
  • Reviews changes in demand requirements, supply plan, and forecast to ensure schedules and production orders can be achieved.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes data to make decisions, and develops metrics critical to success.
  • Mentors team members within the functional work-streams to grow talent within the organization.
  • Assesses current and future business requirements to determine optimal processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Establishes reports and dashboards that support operations for continuous review of inventory trends and irregularities.
  • Supports planners/customers in maintaining accurate planning parameters and material master data.
  • Assesses planning risks and communicates them across the organization, recommending appropriate safeguards.
  • Defines, measures, and communicates key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain processes.
  • Champions continuous process improvement projects based on supply chain KPIs.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for supply challenges related to planned parts availability.
  • Translates demand projections into detailed Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) outputs and presents plans to senior leadership.
  • Supports strategic efforts to qualify new raw materials and alternative supply channels.
  • Develops inventory strategies in collaboration with centralized supply chain functions.
  • Manages control of non-conforming material within the company and the Quality Manual System (QMS).
  • Participates in the review and implementation of improved systems for inventory tracking and management.
  • Defines and develops training for staff in production planning and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Production, Operations, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations, supplier management, planning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of direct supply chain or production experience.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing SAP for inventory management.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in biotech or medical device field, preferably in a GMP and/or ISO13485 environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional working knowledge analyzing data and making recommendations relating to inventory and materials management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in biotech or medical device field, preferably in a GMP and/or ISO13485 environment.
  • 1+ years of experience working with an integrated business planning tool.
  • Professional working knowledge with developing reporting mechanisms to provide inventory visibility to leadership.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
