About the position

The Indirect Procurement team at Teradata is focused on enhancing procurement processes to support the company's goals. This role involves managing day-to-day operations of the Procurement Center of Excellence and Third-Party Risk Management functions, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to assess risks associated with third-party suppliers and to drive procurement transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive optimization and standardization of Procurement policies, processes, and programs.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities of the Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) functions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and teams to co-create, document, and operationalize Procurement transformational initiatives.
  • Train Procurement organization and business stakeholders on Procurement policies, processes, and programs.
  • Manage, co-create, and update Procurement policies, processes, and SOPs.
  • Facilitate comprehensive third-party risk assessments and partner with adjacent functions on risk mitigation actions.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness campaigns on third-party risk management and procurement best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on third-party risk management activities.

Requirements

  • Certified professional designations such as CTPRP, CISM, or CISSP.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or Business Management; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Deep procurement and/or business transformation experience.
  • Strong track record of purpose-driven performance and turning innovation into sustainable business results.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing thought leadership in developing and influencing business strategy at the C-level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk assessment methodologies and industry standards.
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience leading and participating in cross-functional re-engineering or process improvement efforts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of procurement metrics/KPIs and advanced procurement data analytics.
  • Understanding of and experience with ESG topics related to third-party suppliers.
  • Experience working on a global scale with a variety of cultures.
