About the position

The Sr. Manager of Engineering for Enterprise Applications at Cribl is responsible for optimizing and streamlining the enterprise applications ecosystem, particularly focusing on Salesforce and its integrations. This role involves managing a team of developers and administrators, mentoring them, and ensuring the delivery of quality technical solutions that drive business impact. The position emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the use of advanced technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 developers and 2 administrators responsible for building applications, primarily Salesforce and its integrations.
  • Scale the Enterprise Applications team to support Cribl's growth, mentoring new team members and shaping future strategies.
  • Establish a partnership between Enterprise Applications Engineering and Product Managers to ensure smooth collaboration and quality delivery.
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Salesforce applications, leveraging deep understanding of Salesforce architecture.
  • Build and optimize declarative systems in Salesforce and recommend programmatic solutions when necessary.
  • Develop a new Salesforce integration with the billing platform to automate revenue recognition.
  • Optimize CPQ and migrate to a modern revenue lifecycle management system in the near future.
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend buy vs. build strategies.
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance business productivity.
  • Oversee the release management lifecycle, including planning, deployment, and post-deployment support.
  • Stay updated on the latest Salesforce, AI, and business systems advancements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce developer/architect with a proven track record of building complex enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of Salesforce developers and collaborating with BSAs/PMs.
  • Extensive expertise in Salesforce architecture, including data models, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce CPQ, Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds with relevant hands-on experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and evolving technical capabilities of the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST API development and integration using iPaas solutions like Celigo, Okta Workflows, and Workato.
  • Experience with generative AI concepts and tooling is a plus.
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred, ideally in multiple domains.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience scaling a function at a remote-first company.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment for a SaaS company.
