As a member of the Philanthropic Giving/McKesson Foundation Team, the Senior Manager - Employee Philanthropy Programs is responsible for supporting and driving individual and team volunteerism, matching gifts, McKesson Foundation scholarships and Taking Care of Our Own Fund. The position is an advocate for employee engagement and a liaison between employees and social impact opportunities. The successful Senior Manager - Employee Philanthropy Programs is an experienced employee engagement champion and facilitator with demonstrated success in cultivating internal and external partnerships, setting program strategy and goals, evaluating impact, managing reporting and communication, and creating and leading corporate social responsibility programs. The Senior Manager will have a direct report and influence employee engagement through trust and credibility with HR, ERG and business colleagues, as well as community partners and business vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders to provide customized and practical options to encourage and enable volunteerism.
  • Increase awareness of and participation in employee philanthropy programs.
  • Reliably track, evaluate and report program metrics.
  • Cultivate a network of nonprofit partners with accessible volunteer opportunities in McKesson communities in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Provide guidance on a philanthropic volunteer strategy in McKesson communities in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Build employee awareness and people leader support for volunteerism, matching gifts, McKesson Foundation scholarships and Taking Care of Our Own Fund.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to conference planners, ERG members, HR and business unit leaders.
  • Support individual employees in finding volunteer opportunities aligned with their interests and schedules.
  • Manage volunteer recognition programs.
  • Co-lead, with Innovation Impact & Activation, McKesson Care Ambassador program.
  • Develop and monitor key program metrics and dashboards to track, evaluate and report on initiatives.
  • Optimize grants management platform to collect and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the senior grants administrator.
  • Develop and execute professional development plans for employee philanthropic program team member.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within a matrixed, high-growth organization.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in building and/or managing employee volunteer, matching gifts and related programs.
  • Minimum 3 years of administrator experience with an employee giving and volunteer management platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and driving initiatives across an organization.
  • 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification preferred unless an advanced degree is attained.
