Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of groundbreaking digital marketing campaigns and build growth strategies for both established and developing artists in the Urban Music space.
  • Monitor campaigns in real-time, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Create post-mortem analyses to quantify the impact of each campaign and measure effectiveness of each tactic.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Commercial Revenue, Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Creative and Publicity, to build cohesive cross-platform campaigns.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day social media strategy, website, and CRM strategies for a designated roster of artists and the Warner Records social accounts.
  • Use expert-level knowledge of social platforms and social content strategies to craft a social narrative and content strategy that elevates artists' brands.
  • Work with artist management and internal departments to develop and maintain an editorial calendar across all social platforms.
  • Partner with internal creatives and external creators to develop high-performing short-form content for Warner Records artists.
  • Partner with the VP of Paid Media Strategy, Operations and Audience Growth to develop and execute paid media campaigns and CRM strategy for each artist.
  • Work with the Insights team to profile online audiences and build digital marketing strategies based on demographic and psychographic data.
  • Build and maintain relationships with social media platform representatives and participate in regular update meetings.
  • Manage online marketing budget spends for each artist on your roster.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years professional experience in digital/social media marketing, direct to consumer marketing, and/or related fields preferably at a Record Label or music management company.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in social media content strategy.
  • Innate ability to lead and mentor.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with putting together digital marketing plans that are concise and executable.
  • Passion for fan-focused digital strategies with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, tight timeframe, and team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge on how to 'move the needle' online, be it driving consumption, engagement, or growth.
  • Proven leadership experience in team discussions and client meetings.
  • Impeccable follow-up and follow-through.
  • A deep professional understanding of interactive technologies and communication tools, including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, YouTube, Snapchat, Discord, Website strategy, Email/CRM strategy and overall social media trends.
  • A passion and deep knowledge of R&B and Hip-Hop music, trends and culture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design knowledge.
  • Experience using project management software such as Monday and Basecamp.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and posting tools such as Falcon and HootSuite.
  • Record Label experience.
  • People management skills.
  • A passion for all things digital and music related.
  • Short form video creation experience.
