About the position

The Senior Manager of Aetna Technology Security & Compliance at CVS Health will oversee the security and audit compliance functions within Aetna Technology. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems, while also identifying and mitigating security risks. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to enhance security practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee various aspects of security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems, including vulnerability management.
  • Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's technology framework and develop action plans to mitigate these risks.
  • Direct groups in the identification and resolution of security vulnerabilities, ensuring best practices are instilled within the team's strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations by conducting security audits and implementing measures to address compliance gaps.
  • Coordinate various aspects of the security framework, leading the vulnerability identification and remediation strategic vision and roadmaps.
  • Drive operational excellence and provide enhanced risk visibility and coordination of all related framework activities.
  • Implement robust monitoring systems and processes to detect and respond to potential security threats.
  • Maintain actionable management level reports and dashboards on vulnerability remediation success rates.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization and develop training programs for staff members.
  • Lead the creation and/or implementation of technical solutions and architecture for complex program solutions.

Requirements

  • 6-7 years of prior experience in security and compliance roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and share knowledge with others.
  • Understanding of technical problems and how systems work and interact, including networks, servers, and applications.
  • Familiarity with the software delivery life cycle and key concepts such as version control and effective testing.
  • Technical acumen and documentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and QuickBase.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with the company's security control standards and enterprise architecture.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with information security vulnerability types and best practices.
  • Familiarity with software versioning and upgrade/patching processes.
