About the position

The Senior Licensed Mental Health (MH) Clinician provides services to people who experience serious mental illness. This includes assessment, recovery focused treatment planning, group and individual training, and group and individual counseling, as well providing crisis intervention if necessary. The clinician may provide clinical quality review of others' work and is responsible for service coordination and/or linkage to community services that meet the needs of the individual patient/consumer. Engaging in crisis prevention and management is also a key responsibility. The position may involve working in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, or community environments, with support provided in homes, workplaces, schools, or shelters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and recovery focused treatment planning for individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Conduct group and individual training and counseling sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Perform clinical quality reviews of other clinicians' work.
  • Coordinate services and link patients to community resources.
  • Engage in crisis prevention and management activities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling or Behavioral Sciences is required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with the SPMI and/or Additive Disease population, preferably in a full-time status, is required.
  • Active Georgia LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required.
