About the position

The Sr. IT Project Manager at Q Squared Solutions LLC is responsible for developing and overseeing comprehensive project plans that comply with FDA regulations and internal SOPs. This role involves managing project budgets, resource allocations, and financial performance while ensuring timely delivery of products and services from vendors. The position requires collaboration with various teams to mitigate risks, track project status, and implement quality improvements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations in compliance with FDA implementation regulations and internal SOPs.
  • Track and escalate issues with compliance items.
  • Oversee project financials including weekly reviews and corrective actions on Labor/CAPEX/Opex spend and escalations.
  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation, making adjustments as needed to stay within budget.
  • Apply Project Management metrics (PMO) to assess project and financial performance, ensuring alignment with business goals and making data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Integration engine vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products or services as outlined in contracts.
  • Oversee project risks by maintaining a Risk Register and working with IT, Business, and Laboratory team operations to review and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status updates on critical red and amber projects to senior leadership and project stakeholders, including critical path items requiring immediate attention and mitigation.
  • Project manage corrective actions and oversee implementation quality, identifying and executing Quality/Cost/Delivery improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in processes by reviewing labor effort and eliminating idle/waiting time for project resources.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to maintain quality throughout the project.
  • Track and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or foreign equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of regulatory software development life cycle (SDLC) activity experience, including three (3) years in project management.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and integration project management in a life sciences environment.
  • Experience in software design and development projects.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, or MS Teams.
  • Experience implementing life sciences or healthcare technology projects in systems implementation, interface, and clinical trial databases.
