About the position

The Sr IT Customer Support Specialist at Honeywell is responsible for providing technical implementation services and ongoing support for customer networks. This role involves troubleshooting, managing, and optimizing network performance in a 24/7 environment, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and governance policies. The specialist will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with design and architecture teams to enhance service resiliency and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve network-related issues promptly in a 24x7x365 material handling environment.
  • Implement and manage DC technologies, Route & Switch IOS designs, WLAN access points, and controllers.
  • Provide expert-level knowledge in WAN/LAN topologies, including routing protocols and SDN.
  • Troubleshoot advanced network-related problems including routing, L1/2 Switching, and firewall rules.
  • Monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments for optimization.
  • Configure and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proactively manage network standards, documentation, and capacity planning.
  • Design reliable and scalable network architectures with fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
  • Conduct regular network performance tests and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and create network diagrams and supporting documentation for customer sites.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers and analysts.

Requirements

  • Experience in configuring and maintaining network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  • Ability to assist with performance tuning, monitoring systems, and disaster recovery.
  • Operational support experience for Enterprise Wireless networks with multiple SSIDs and authentication methods.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Experience with network management tools and technologies such as Wireshark and Logic Monitor.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCIE certification is a bonus.
  • CompTia Network+, JNCIA-Junos, ACMA, VCTA-NV certifications.
