About the position

As a Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer at Blackspoke, you will play a crucial role in enhancing national security by developing and maintaining a Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability across multiple security domains. Your work will involve delivering innovative solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with security standards, and supporting advanced defense and intelligence systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly contribute to the safety and security of the nation.

Responsibilities

• OandM of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks, including Crossplane, Kyverno, and RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services, including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 5+ years of developer experience
• Meets DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements, including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA

Nice-to-haves

• Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and Git
• Familiarity with Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps
• Familiarity with container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem
