About The Position

Corazon is seeking a Sr. Healthcare Consultant to join their team. This role involves managing client relationships, leading projects, and contributing to the company's expertise in the healthcare industry. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, coordinating project activities, and preparing client-facing deliverables. They will also play a role in identifying new business opportunities and mentoring new personnel. Requirements

  • Knowledge of the health care industry, preferably from the cardiovascular, neuroscience, orthopedic and/or physician practice/partnering perspective.
  • Three years of previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to diverse audiences with poise and credibility.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of skills related to clinical operations and program development.
  • Consultation skills, including the ability to effectively listen and communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline required; Masters Degree strongly preferred.
  • Work experience in cardiovascular, neuroscience or orthopedic clinical areas.
  • Computer software skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Candidates residing in the Pittsburgh area are preferred to support a regular presence in our hybrid office environment. However, we will consider remote applicants who live within approximately a 4-hour drive of Pittsburgh and are able to travel to the office occasionally for in-person collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required (approximately 25 to 50% travel).

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with the Corazon team to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Functioning in the role of Project Leader and/or Project Support for all project assignments.
  • Reviewing and reporting project progress to the Account Manager with a work plan.
  • Providing time and expense updates to ensure appropriate resource allocation and the match of appropriate resources to project scope and pricing.
  • Coordinating project meetings, internally and with the client.
  • Communicating availability to assist other Corazon personnel on additional assignments.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations, including staff education sessions, from concept to delivery recognizing client need and the intended audience.
  • Conducting presentations displaying the Corazon expertise and current market knowledge.
  • Preparing reports for client consumption that summarize key findings and recommendations in a clear, distilled, and logical manner.
  • Collaborating with Delivery Coordinator and other office personnel to prepare materials to meet client needs.
  • Using administrative resources to assure all team members are working at their highest skill level.
  • Maintaining professional client relationships.
  • Responding readily to service requests.
  • Facilitating problem-solving with an understanding of the client’s interests.
  • Applying maximum effort to meet client need.
  • Understanding clients’ business needs to identify areas of new business.
  • Recommending additional work to clients, when appropriate.
  • Communicating opportunities for additional project work to the Account Manager and/or sales team.
  • Maintaining leading-edge knowledge and skills in areas of expertise.
  • Reading and discovering books, articles, reference materials, and news items that add to the firm’s intellectual base.
  • Participating in Corazon’s promotional activities, speaking engagements, professional societies, and meetings with the business/health care community.
  • Providing articles and blogs for publication in journals and news articles.
  • Mentoring new personnel and promoting the professional development of team members.
  • Providing input for performance appraisals.
  • Working with contacts in the health care industry to identify new business opportunities for the company.
  • Performing additional duties as requested by management.
