Sr. Firmware Engineer

A Day in the Life involves the development and verification of the programmable logic elements of medical capital equipment used in surgery, including hardware interfaces such as DAC, ADC, LCD display, and DSP algorithms implemented in PL as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, documents, operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and wide range of products.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

Requirements

• Requires a Baccalaureate degree or a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• May have practical knowledge of project management.
