About the position

At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee owned company, is seeking a talented, tenacious, results-driven individual to work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists, and analysts who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions and leveraging them to make an operational mission impact. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for research, design, and development of digital signal processing and satellite communications systems deployed on a variety of platforms including CPU, GPU, and FPGA.
  • Participates in all phases of the product development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test.
  • Applies engineering, software, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of system solutions.
  • Works closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and overall system design.
  • Develops test procedures and related documentation.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
  • Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
  • Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance (US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related field
  • Knowledge of software design principles including industry best practices and design trends
  • Ability to communicate software and algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance metrics in written and oral reports
  • Ability to quickly grasp and come up-to-speed with large software code bases

Nice-to-haves

  • Full-stack development experience
  • Experience with GitLab, GitHub or other revision control systems, and agile development practices
  • 5+ years' experience Python, C or C++, CUDA, VHDL
  • Security+ Certification
  • Familiarity with additional high-level languages (Python, Shell Scripting, etc.)
