About the position

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist in Atlanta, GA. The role involves working within a team to generate business insights based on big data, identifying actionable recommendations, and communicating findings to clients. The candidate will brainstorm innovative ways to utilize unique data to address business problems, communicate with clients to understand their challenges, and extract and analyze data to provide relevant insights. Responsibilities also include developing visualizations to make complex analyses accessible, crafting products from analyses suitable for multiple clients, and collaborating with stakeholders to leverage Visa data for business solutions. The position requires mining and analyzing data from company databases to optimize product and marketing strategies, assessing new data sources, developing custom data models and algorithms, and using predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes. This position reports to the Atlanta, Georgia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms for data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Data Scientist-related occupation.
  • Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (non-LLM).
  • Experience with distributed systems and cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Java, and C.
  • Experience with Pytorch and Tensorflow.
  • Knowledge of ML-OPS and GPU accelerated computing.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience with NoSQL data platforms such as Elastic Search and Cassandra.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
