The role requires a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology, with a focus on single-cell genomics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to advance pioneering work in single-cell genomics.
  • Analyze sequencing datasets to address novel and clinically relevant questions.
  • Critique results and troubleshoot issues with new analyses.
  • Research new developments in computational biology and bioinformatics to apply to new datasets.
  • Collaborate with researchers to tackle innovative questions in cancer genomics.
  • Train junior analysts on running pipelines and performing routine analyses and quality control.

Requirements

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Computer Science with a focus on molecular biology, or equivalent non-academic experience.
  • Experience with Linux and proficiency in Python or R.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput sequence data is preferred.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative work on codebases.
