Sr. Claims Consultant - Property & Casualty

About the position

As a Sr. Claims Consultant (Property & Casualty) at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will be responsible for managing P&C claims from initial report through resolution, advocating for clients, and effectively communicating with internal teams. You will also identify emerging risks, negotiate with adjusters, and maintain accurate agency management system data. Your role will involve providing claims expertise, leading complex claims processes, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will monitor claims activity, build strong carrier relationships, and create an inspiring team environment that fosters growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Proactively advocate P&C claims from initial report of claim through resolution.
• Identify emerging risks and escalate to senior management where appropriate.
• Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients.
• Maintain agency management system data for accuracy.
• Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients.
• Lead highly complex claims processes and client claim review meetings.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies for claims processes.
• Monitor trending within claims activity and communicate with agency teams.
• Build strong carrier relationships with adjusters and claims team members.
• Create an inspiring team environment and conduct performance reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years previous P&C claims experience preferred.
• Multi-line carrier or brokerage claims experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Well organized, self-motivated, and attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency with system of records and Microsoft Office Suite.
