About the position

Brady Corp is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst - FICO who will assist in achieving our top priority business objectives through effective gathering of requirements and thoughtful application of new and existing technology solutions as appropriate. For prioritized work requests; the Business Analyst is responsible for analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, documentation, deployment and maintenance of IT capabilities within their areas of expertise. The Business Analyst also provides support and mentoring for existing IT capabilities according to established processes. This role will mainly focus on the financial and compliance side of the commercial processes and will primarily work within SAP FICO and its bolt-ons, its integration with SD and MM and in the Brady custom configurations. The goal of the team is to implement and configure SAP, to improve and add functionalities and to support SAP users in all Brady sites in order to improve, standardize and automate business processes by using SAP and its bolt-ons more efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth and current knowledge of processes and systems in area of expertise.
  • Perform root cause analysis and participate in architecting solutions and technical spec writing to solve business challenges, improve functionality and process efficiency, implement new legal requirements or enable new capabilities.
  • Configure SAP and its bolt-ons in the Finance and Controlling area.
  • Work with corporate IT and business team members to analyze, assess impact, challenge and document requirements and to provide project sizing of new incoming demand.
  • Manage (sub) projects in the FICO area and delivers on time for each project phase.
  • Generate and execute test plans to ensure quality of work, and to ensure the impact on all platforms and regions is known and understood.
  • Work with integration team to design data integrations between product tools and systems, provide testing and assess impact.
  • Liaise as required with third parties regarding development and integration.
  • Coordinate delivery of system changes and enhancements including communication.
  • Document all enhancements, implementations or interfaces (technical and business-level documentation). Fill documentation gaps upon discovery.
  • Provide necessary training and coach/train peers for their development.
  • Provide timely & efficient 2nd tier support (1st tier is super user community).
  • Consistently build a self help environment culture through interactions with super users, end users, and business managers.
  • Keep up with technology evolution and identify and assess solutions or applications that could be useful for Brady.
  • Increase skills and knowledge by interacting with Service Owners, other BA's and external resources via self learning.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of prior related compensatory work experience as SAP IT Business Analyst in Finance and Controlling (FICO).
  • Broad functional SAP knowledge in Finance and Controlling as well as profound knowledge of the integration between FICO and SD and MM, including configuration and set up.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude, self-starter and self-motivator with an enthusiastic drive for results and a good sense of urgency.
  • Ability to be proactive in identification, mitigation of business/IT risks, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours.
