About the position

The Sr. APIGEE and DataPower Support Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and integrating API solutions within an Agile environment. This role requires extensive experience with Apigee API solutions and involves working with various technologies to ensure effective API development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, implement, and integrate API solutions in an Agile environment.
• Integrate systems with APIs.
• Develop and maintain Apigee API solutions.
• Create and document REST API designs using Swagger, YAML, and RAML.
• Implement security protocols using OAuth2 or token-based security.
• Work with microservices and Apigee edge technologies.
• Utilize DataPower for API management and integration.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT experience in API solutions analysis, design, implementation, and integration.
• 7+ years of experience specifically with Apigee API solutions.
• Proficiency in API development and policy development in Apigee.
• Experience with Cassandra, Zookeeper, Node.js or reactive Java, and Nginx server.
• Strong knowledge of web services (SOAP and RESTful), XML, and JSON processing APIs.
• Experience with microservices and Apigee edge technologies.
• Familiarity with document maintenance of REST API designs in Swagger, YAML, and RAML.
• Proficient in OAuth2 or token-based security.
• Experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring, JPA, and Hibernate (ORM).
• Experience with ESB integration layer technologies.
• Experience with IBM DataPower and IBM APIC.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with logging tools like Splunk.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• DevOps experience.
