About the position

The Sr Account Manager for Multisite Building Automation at Honeywell is responsible for driving growth and sales in North American customer accounts. This role involves maintaining customer satisfaction through regular contact, managing expectations, and developing long-term relationships. The position requires a consultative selling approach, leveraging internal resources to create solutions, and providing market intelligence. The role also includes significant travel and the management of complex sales cycles in commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Employ a consultative selling approach to build long-term, value-based relationships with accounts.
  • Deliver on customer needs and project requirements by leading initiatives across various internal functions.
  • Generate, maintain, and deliver reports and opportunity status using the customer relationship management system.
  • Drive business growth by discovering and evaluating new opportunities and customers.
  • Provide forecast and demand input to Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).
  • Leverage sales support resources to formulate winning solutions and articulate value propositions.
  • Provide intelligence on customers, competitors, and market trends to the company.
  • Negotiate project, software, and service agreements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical and business acumen in selling complex solutions in commercial/industrial environments.
  • 3 years of hunter/business development experience in commercial/industrial accounts.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
  • Technical aptitude and curiosity to develop applicable solutions for commercial/industrial applications.
  • Ability to break down client needs and develop value-based solutions.
  • Strong sense of ownership and excellent team, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing longer sales cycle opportunities in a projects-based business.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Multisite Buildings Space focusing on BAS/BMS and SaaS solutions in sectors like Retail, Grocery, and Small Commercial.
  • Experience influencing across a broader functionalized organization.
